Created in 2007 by its parent company Highland Communications, Inc., a skilled communications and tower construction company, Highland Energy Systems is establishing itself as a company dedicated to the idea of sustainability in the United States and beyond. A major goal of the company is to promote RE to the communications industry and the company has completed designs for both off and on grid systems.

Under the direction of the owners Frank and Teresa Campbell, the company has built its own communications tower in Skagit County, Washington; complete with a wind generator and a solar array, which has helped to generate the interest of the communications industry in renewable energy. The Power Tower is capable of hosting four cellular carriers on its height of 165 feet.

In 2005, Highland migrated into renewable energy by completing a project for erecting radio towers connected to solar for a military base. The company has since worked on large and small solar projects.

A major key to our success has been to maintain loyal employees by training them adequately to ensure that the company has a flawless safety record. We have a reputation as the "go-to" company, providing service on demand when the customer needs it.

Highland is well known for accessing remote communications sites wherever the work takes us. We have been on remote mountaintops and taken to desert sites by helicopter.
